Biography

Dealing with Dragons

Kazul keeps borrowing cooking pans from Morwen, for Cimorene's use, so Morwen comes to visit and meets Cimorene. Over cups of tea Cimorene tells Morwen her story about all of the things she wanted to learn growing up and how she ran away. Also about how the princes' and knights keep showing up to rescue her, including Prince Therandil. Morwen agrees that it is absurd and suggests that they put up a sign until they can come up with a better idea.

Sign

Sign that Cimorene and Morwen Made

Kazul and Cimorne go to visit Morwen to borrow her copy of A Journey Through the Caves of Fire and Night and to drink Apple cider. The witch helps Cimorene with ingredients for her Dragon fireproofing spell. Morwen assists Cimorene in thwarting Woraug's plan to become king of the dragons, and gains information about melting Wizards with soapy water and lemon juice. From then on, Morwen always keeps a bucket handy, just in case.

Searching for Dragons

Morwen meets King Mendanbar when he visits her to ask which dragon the scales he found belong to. She helps him by disenchanting them, showing that it wasn't multiple dragons as he had feared, but one dragon that had shed the scales. She then directs him to Kazul, the King of the Dragons. She later helps Cimorene, Mendanbar, and Telemain defeat the wizards and free Kazul.

She is Cimorene maid of honor at her wedding to Mendanbar.

Calling on Dragons

Set approximately one year after Searching for Dragons, this book is told from Morwen's perspective. While helping Killer, an enchanted rabbit who is now a flying donkey, Morwen discovers Antorell stealing magic in the forest. Morwen calls Telemain, and the two of them investigate the magicless patches. Morwen travels by broomstick, while Telemain refuses, and must travel on Killer. Concerned that the spell created in the previous book to prevent magic loss isn't working, she goes to the castle to report to the king and queen. Later, she goes on a quest with Cimorene, Kazul, Killer, and Telemain to retrieve the Mendanbar's sword, which is a key piece of the spell. Morwin is concerned that Telemain is overexerting himself with the transportation spell, but he insists he is fine. When Telemain has to suddenly do an additional transportation spell, he experiences magical backlash and is knocked unconscious. Morwen becomes very concerned, and she cares for him at Brandel the fire-witch's tower. Eventually, they managed to get the sword back from Antorell and Arona Michelear Grinogion Vamist but not before Mendanbar is hidden away by the wizards. She transfer's Killer's enchantment to Arona Vamist and Telemain transports him to the town square where he lives.

Talking to Dragons

Sixteen years later, Morwen points Daystar, knowing who he is due to the Sword of the Sleeping King, down the path that would lead him to the castle near the center of the Enchanted Forest after one of her many cats brought him and Shiara to her. Once Mendanbar was freed, she and Telemain announced their engagement.

Cats

Morwen has quite a few cats which she sometimes sends out on missions, but they always do it because they want to, and will not stand by as a rumor that they actually cared, heaven forbid, went around. She has created a potion so she can understand them and is thinking of making one where she can understand others' cats, too. Her cats are:

Fiddlesticks
seal brown male, sweet, friendly, always hungry, "talks to much" for most of the cats' liking.

fluffy white female with blue eyes, proper, likes taking the lead, is much kinder to Fiddlesticks than the others.
Scorn
large calico female, very judging and cynical but flirts with Horatio, a fire witch's cat in COD, and has Quiz with him most likely.
Trouble
large, lean gray male with a crooked tail and a recently acquired raggedy ear, probably gained in a fight, the name says it all.
Jasper Darlington Higgens IV
cream and silver male, practical, is friends with mice
Chaos
fat, long-haired tabby male, thinks he owns the apple tree out by the back gate next to the lilac.
Aunt Ophelia
spiky tortoiseshell female, one of the younger cats.
